Love Story

Love Story - Jennifer Echols

I started out really enjoying this book. I loved the characters and the setting I loved the plot. Most of the story was really good I loved reading the stories the characters were writing.

I really enjoyed the drama but the ending really disappointed me I was expecting more. maybe a happier ending. it felt like there should have been a second book to this story. I don't think Jennifer Echols was planning to make another book.

Something Maybe

Something, Maybe - Elizabeth Scott

I thought this book was okay. I liked the main character but I didn't really enjoy the plot as much as I thought I would when I bought it. Her father seemed really fake and unreal and I thought it wasn't developed enough.

I also really like the characters of Josh and Finn but preferred Finn. It showed that he really cared about her and that he didn't want her to get hurt or fall into the wrong hands.

I also didn't really like the mom character. I'm used to mom characters that are more similar to what a normal mom would be and I just could not connect with her.

Overall I gave this book a 3 Star as I enjoyed the main character but did not enjoy the plot as much as I thought I would.

Maus 2

Maus, Vol. 2: And Here My Troubles Began - Art Spiegelman

Maus 2 Was great. This is a book I had to read for my English class. I had heard of it before and was really curious to see it it would live up to what I had heard. I've never read a book about the holocaust like this one. Even though it was strange to have animals instead of humans I got used to it very quickly and enjoyed it very much.

I liked how the story was told first hand, it made it seem real and it was nothing like any other story I've read. I thought it was a brilliant way of telling the story of Art Spiegleman's father and the story of many other Jewish people who lived in the concentration camps.

Over all I would recomend this book to people who are interested in the second world war and how people lived in concentration camps as that is what the story is mainly about.

One Smart Cookie
One Smart Cookie

This is a book I really enjoyed . It is the story of Sophie a teenager who lives above a bakery owned by her mother and grandmother. Seeing that Sophie is still single her grandmother makes some sort of spiritual ritual that is supposed to bring boys in Sophie's direction. Sophie is not so sure she believes in all of this but goes along with it to please her grandmother. She soon after meets two boys.

I really enjoyed this book the main character Sophie was really funny. I found myself laughing out loud a few times while reading things that happened to her. I also really enjoyed the grandmother character I thought she was really funny.

Overall I would really recommend this book. I personally Gave it a 4 star.

The summer I turned pretty By Jenny Han

The Summer I turned pretty

The Summer I Turned Pretty - Jenny Han It's Not Summer Without You - Jenny Han We'll Always Have Summer - Jenny Han

This will forever stay my favorite series. I read this about 3 or 4 years ago for the first time and I was drawn into it from the first sentence I read. This is my dream kind of story. spending the summer on the beach with my family sounds amazing.

I loved the main character, belly, she was really unique and I felt like I could really relate to how she was feeling when I read this. She was young still discovering things and trying out new ones.

Conrad and Jeremiah were also very interesting characters. I personally preferred Conrad simply because he felt more mysterious and intriguing.

The first book in this series remains my favorite even after reading all 3 multiple times. I truly loved this series and I read it every summer. I would recommend this to every girl out there that loves a good love story.

The Selection series

The Selection - Kiera Cass The Elite - Kiera Cass The One - Kiera Cass

I read these books over the summer and really enjoyed them. I thought that the story line was brilliant. having one prince choose between 35 girls is very similar tot he show the bachelor but it was done in a way that was not at all cheesy.

I really enjoyed discovering the world in which the characters lived and getting to know it as well as my own world. I loved the setting of the castle it is not something i read about very often and I thought it gave the story an interesting setting.

I really like the main character, America. I thought she was a good main character even if she sometime took really bad decisions. I also really like the prince in this story I thought he was really well written and seemed like a person I would like to meet.

Overall I thought this series was a great read I would definitely recommended to anyone who loves a good love story.
